Summary of Qualifications / Career Overview

In 1987, Marty Justice attended a millwright apprentice program in a furniture factory and earned Journeyman status in 1988. For the next nine years he worked primarily in the construction and manufacturing industries, including petroleum, refining, chemical, nuclear power, and food/beverage, where he quickly advanced as a millwright. In 1996 he joined the maintenance team for a major manufacturer and was selected as a Mill Maintenance Instructor for the launch of the “Precision Maintenance” program in 2001. He traveled to five other mills training maintenance teams and was a member of a 12-person team that developed course content. He gained extensive knowledge in adult learning principles and later was selected to serve in a Train-the-Trainer capacity. Marty saw first-hand how his employer reduced bearing costs from $3.5 million to $400,000 in one plant alone and he became a staunch “Precision Maintenance” advocate. From 2001-2007 he worked in a dual capacity as an Instructor and “Precision Maintenance Advisor”, traveling to six mills to ensure constant skills progression and application of “Precision Maintenance” techniques and principles. Marty joined Reliability Solutions in 2007 to contribute his 25+ years of experience in guiding corporations with “Precision Maintenance” process implementation and instruction.
