Preface

The art and science of manufacturing and distribution is a constantly evolving field, requiring a multifaceted approach to ensure that machinery and systems function efficiently and sustainably. The role of conveyance systems, particularly belt conveyors, is undeniable in the modern industrial landscape. Yet, their optimal performance is occasionally hindered by recurring failures. The Essential Craft Skills 2 - Light Manufacturing & Distribution seminar (ID: 11261) has been crafted to address these specific challenges.

Objectives

Situated at the crossroads of practical skill development and analytical troubleshooting, this hands-on course delves into the intricate world of machinery inspection, lubrication fundamentals, and, most importantly, root cause failure elimination. But beyond the machinery, communication stands as a pivotal theme throughout the course. The objective is not just to identify and rectify, but also to articulate the findings comprehensively, ensuring cohesive team dynamics and timely rectification.

Processes Covered

Topics include:

  • Asset strategy development
  • Condition monitoring techniques such as vibration analysis and electrical condition monitoring
  • Precision maintenance® and machinery assembly and installation
  • Component failure identification and control
  • Pumps and piping systems
  • Asset operation and troubleshooting
  • Root cause problem elimination
  • Implementation of reliable manufacturing
