Target Participants
ERMS has been carefully designed for anyone who has a role in reliability including:
- Production and Maintenance leaders, supervisors, engineers, and lead hands
- Reliability leaders, managers and engineers
Prerequisites
Preface
Upon successful completion of this seminar participants will be able to identify and eliminate machinery /component problems using a systematic, structured root cause approach. Within the RCFE process attendees will: determine site and area analysis trigger points using weighted functions, create real problem statements, know where to find and collect required information, generate and evaluate possible causes, identify and select real solutions, communicate analysis results, plan/schedule field actions and audit system response. In this manner participants will be familiar with evidence preservation so as to not compromise investigation effectiveness while determining applicable solutions.
Objectives
Attendees will be familiar with common material failure modes of; overload, fatigue, corrosion, wear and erosion. Using practical field tools (both static and dynamic), attendees will understand and recognize the forensics of failure analysis for typical plant components including; rolling element bearings, power transmission devices, fasteners, fractography (interpreting fracture faces) and lubricants Candidates will be prepared to utilize ASD/RCM thinking to assist in failure analysis, effectively, participate in RCA meetings and further improve asset availability and reliability.
