Target Participants
ERMS has been carefully designed for anyone who has a role in reliability including:
- Production and Maintenance leaders, supervisors, engineers, and lead hands
- Reliability leaders, managers and engineers
Prerequisites
Preface
Upon successful completion of this seminar, candidates will be ready to identify and correct common fluid power problems including, the effects of poor fluid conditioning, pump and actuator assembly errors, cavitation and aeration, incorrect control adjustments, excessive temperature, fluid conductor leaks, and provide a “performance” report that states “as found” and “as left” conditions with the use of dynamic measurement tools to extend asset reliability.
Objectives
Candidates will have a higher knowledge of fluid power bearing, seal, and lubrication failures and the degradation of machine life within fluid systems. Attendees will be able to clearly communicate the “why it failed” and “how to improve” fluid system knowledge to improve asset performance. Participants will have a detailed understanding of the principles of operation, common failure modes, monitoring strategies and failure prevention strategies. Candidates will be able to apply this knowledge as part of an equipment care strategy review based on, asset operating context and available technologies. This work allows for further development of and the validation of initially developed ASD strategies as part of the continual improvement process and suggest improvements to monitoring strategies.
