PREFACE
The art and science of manufacturing and distribution is a constantly evolving field, requiring a multifaceted approach to ensure that machinery and systems function efficiently and sustainably. The role of conveyance systems, particularly belt conveyors, is undeniable in the modern industrial landscape. Yet, their optimal performance is occasionally hindered by recurring failures. The Essential Craft Skills 2 – Light Manufacturing & Distribution seminar (ID: 11261) has been crafted to address these specific challenges.
OBJECTIVES
Situated at the crossroads of practical skill development and analytical troubleshooting, this hands-on course delves into the intricate world of machinery inspection, lubrication fundamentals, and, most importantly, root cause failure elimination. But beyond the machinery, communication stands as a pivotal theme throughout the course. The objective is not just to identify and rectify, but also to articulate the findings comprehensively, ensuring cohesive team dynamics and timely rectification.

Illinois Valley Community College is located at 815 N. Orlando Smith Road, Oglesby, Illinois 61348. Student parking is available in Lot #7, Lot #2, #3, #4, #5.
Visitor parking is available in Lot #1. ADA parking is available at an accessible lot located near the front of the building.
Parking for evening classes is available in Lot #1 after 5 p.m.
An information desk is located inside the main entrance.
Directional signs will be posted inside the main entrance and Lot #7 entrance to assist students in locating their classroom.
